LEARN TO DO WELL

Published 10/09/16Cheri Huber first published her brilliantly titled book, How You Do Anything Is How You Do Everything, on January 6, 1988. That title did not impact me until I first attended a three-day seminar in 2010 and heard the presenter quote it repeatedly from the platform. The workshop brought those words to life. Before you say well I can’t apply that to everything in my life, I would like you to think about its implications as you sip on a hot cup of tea or coffee this morning. If you should ever work in sales, you will learn about “secret shopper.” Secret shoppers work like spies. They disguise themselves as regular customers. After they do any transaction with you, they fill out a survey for your manager. Your manager will inform you about the results. The point is, if you practice delivering excellence you will not receive any surprises. It will become your standard. So let excellence become your “anything.” If it’s difficult just take the words of Isaiah, “Learn to do well,” as a motivation.
